WHY I BECAME WHO I AM TODAY: The “D” and “V”
I needed CHANGE!
During my University Days, I had a “distant Mentor” or “Aspiration” in Tan Sri Azman Hashim, a great Financier and one of Malaysia’s early ‘Chartered Accountants’. A millionaire. (My “VISION”)
I told myself I will be a millionaire at 30 years old, instead, my life spiraled down, I had no passion for the work I was doing and everyday, I literally dragged myself to work. I started to despise the never-ending “projects”. My personal life was also in tatters. (My “DISSATISFACTION”)
I needed something to pull me up. One day, my brother Azmeer, came to the house. He spoke passionately about the “Leadership Training” he was undergoing.
It saved my life.
...I told myself I will be a millionaire at 30 years old...
THE “LIGHT”: If There is No Passion, There Will be No Greatness
For me, if there is no Passion, then there is no Greatness.
...For me, if there is no Passion, then there is no Greatness....
I wanted to find what makes me ‘tick’. I enrolled into a few “Self Development” courses. Courses which I don’t have the opportunity to attend when working ‘for others’.
The catalyst of my journey of Self Development was the 26-Days “OBSLumut”, an unforgettable Leadership experience also at 16, the youngest participant amongst many adults. I needed to “feel” it again.
Trusting my brother, I enrolled into “Asiaworks Leadership Program”. 10 days in the classroom and 90 days in the real-world. I put my passion to Grow and Learn, in seeking the ultimate “What is it that I REALLY WANT in MY life”
“A LEGACY BEHIND ME, A FUTURE AHEAD OF ME”
At the age 30, I found my True Passion, so vivid and clear:
I loved to work with PEOPLE, help people achieve their Successes and Dreams. Being financially literate, I focus on “FINANCIAL DREAMS”. Most importantly, by helping enough others achieve their financial dreams, I will become a “MILLIONAIRE!”
...At the age 30, I found my True Passion, so vivid and clear....
Simply the dream I always had since my schoolboy days. Since I planned to live to the age of 88, this will be my most important motive in life! The perks I will enjoy are tremendous:
- Able to “live” in a my dream home
- Able to “drive” my dream car
- Able to “eat” great healthy food
- Able to “support” my mother, wife and family
- Able to “give” for Charitable causes
Its “Financial Freedom with rewards of Time and Money!”
About Nazril - Formative Years
Nazril Idrus was born April 28th 1974, second from a family of 3 boys. Since his childhood days, Nazril developed his skills in LEADERSHIP and PASSION for EXCELLENCE.
At 12 years old, he was selected as the HeadBoy of his primary school SRK Port Dickson much to the bewilderment of other “more deserved prefects” since he had only joined the school a year before, whilst others had schooled there since Year 1.
His talents was somewhat developed by his teachers, as he was always selected to be in many extra-curricular activities including the Head of the Marching Band or “Drum Major”, Debates and Sports.
Enough said, he was named “Tokoh Kanak-Kanak Negeri Sembilan” at the “Hari Kanak-Kanak Se-Dunia 1986” to top off his achievement in his early schooldays.
About Nazril - Secondary Schooling Years (Part 1)
Nazril was selected to continue his studies at one of Malaysia’s Top Institution, the “Royal Military College, Kuala Lumpur”.
His LEADERSHIP shines as much as his PASSION for being the best in whatever he takes on. He was RMC’s Hockey Captain that won several accolades at State Championships, also Vice-Captained the Kuala Lumpur U-18 team which became Malaysia’s MSSM back-to-back National Champions.
He was also RMC’s Featherweight Boxing Champion. Nazril loves to prove his critics wrong. When his Physical Ed coach, Mr Nadarajah (also State Athletics Coach) scolded him for not training for the College “Cross-Country Championships” his reply was simply finishing No.1 thus became the College Cross-Country Champion.
About Nazril - Secondary Schooling Years (Part 2)
At 16 and one of the youngest participants of a grueling 26-days leadership course, his leadership shines through, being the recipient of the outstanding “Merit Award” at Outward Bound School or “OBS” Lumut.
Sports and the outdoors was much part of his life but he recalled one day, being pulled to the side by his English teacher, Miss Shoba, and asked to put more focus in studies, she said, “Sports won Pay for your future”.
His reply to her, “5A1s and 4A2s” (9As) at the SPM Trial exams, resulted in receiving a scholarship from PETRONAS and an offer to study Accountancy at (World’s Top 10) University of Melbourne whilst at the same time winning “RMC’s Best Sportsman of the Year 1991” and the recipient of much coveted “RMC Board of Governors Award”.
That was pure satisfaction.

He kept on breaking his savings and had neither vision nor direction.
